This 15-day tour offers whatever you need to get a real taste of Iran from the modern side of Iranian metropolis in Tehran, the magnificence of Persian architecture in Isfahan and Ardabil, the traditional atmosphere of a great desert city in Yazd, the awe-inspiring Persian garden and the glorious sights of old Persia in Shiraz to the precious handicrafts in the lively historical bazaars of Tabriz and Kerman.

Day 1Arrive in Tabriz and enjoy a full-day city tour

Early Morning, arrive at Tabriz and transfer to your hotel to take a rest. After breakfast, begin your journey by visiting the exquisite blue mosque and then take a walk to visit Azerbaijan museum, Shahrdari square, and Alishah citadel. After lunch, it is time to explore the Constitution House of Tabriz and take a walk through the magnificent and labyrinthine covered traditional bazaar. At night, enjoy meeting locals at El Guli set within an enchanting well-manicured garden with lofty trees and colorful rose bushes.

Day 2Head for Ardabil and enjoy a city tour

Head for Ardabil where you can spend the rest of your day visiting magnificent Sheikh Safi al-Din Mausoleum complex which is western Iran’s most dazzling Safavid monument and taking a walk around Shurabil Lake.

Day 3Head for Tehran via a stop visiting Zanjan en route

Head for Tehran via a short stop at Zanjan visiting Soltaniyeh Dome which is the world’s biggest brick dome. Upon arrival in Tehran, transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 4Explore the old part of Tehran

Enjoy a full day of the tour in the old part of the city. Begin your day by taking a walk from Topkhane square to National museum and stop visiting Sar Dar-e Baqe Melli during your walk. After exploring the national museum, enjoy visiting Abgine museum, where you can find an exciting collection of glass and ceramics housed in a beautiful Qajar-era building. After lunch, it is time to explore the old splendid monuments of the city, Golestan Palace and after all, feel free to take a walk around the traditional bazaar.

Day 5Explore the modern side of Tehran

We will continue our journey in the modern side of Tehran by visiting Saad Abad Palace complex, Niavaran Palace, Carpet museum and Tehran museum of contemporary art.

Day 6Free Time in Tehran

Today, there are no planned activities so feel free to explore the city on your own or rest up for the excitement ahead. You can also make the most of your time by joining one of our activities mentioned below.

Day 7Head for Isfahan via a stop visiting Abyaneh village

Head for Isfahan via a stop at the ancient village of Abyaneh where is remarkable for its unique architecture and local traditional costumes going back to over two thousand years ago. After arrival in Isfahan, we will visit Chehel Sotun palace.
Road Transfer: 4 hrs. approx. Walking: 1 hrs. approx.

Day 8Explore the splendid monument of Isfahan

Enjoy a full-day tour in Isfahan. Begin your day by visiting one of the world largest square, Naqsh-e Jahan square and its surrounding splendid monuments (Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah mosque, and Ali Qapu Palace). Then you have a free time to stroll in Qeysarieh bazaar. After lunch, it is time to visit Jame mosque, Khaju bridge and take a walk along the river of Zayanderud from Khaju bridge to Si-o-Se Pol.

Day 9Head for Yazd via a stop visiting Naiin en route

Head for Yazd via a stop at Naiin visiting Naiin Jame Mosque, which was one of the very first mosques built in Iran, and Pirnia Traditional House. Upon arrival in Yazd, we will visit the splendid Dolat Abad Garden.

Day 10Explore the historical context of Yazd and Zoroastrian heritages

Enjoy a full-day tour in Yazd where is one of the oldest, largest and most charming desert cities. Begin your day by walking through the maze of historical streets and lanes to visit Alexander prison, Lariha Traditional House, Jame Mosque and Art House Cafe. Then we will continue our journey by visiting the sacred Zoroastrian fire temple, Tower of Silence where Zoroastrians used as open burial pits, Amir Chakhmaq Square, Water Museum.

Day 11Head for Kerman and enjoy visiting historical sights

Head for the desert trading city of Kerman where has long been a staging point for traveling between Persia and Indian subcontinent. After arrival in the city, spend the day visiting Harandi Museum, Yakhchal Moayedi where is a well-preserved adobe structure that was used to store ice and Jabaliye Dome that is remarkable because it is constructed of stone rather than the usual brick.

Day 12Enjoy a city tour in Kerman and Mahan

Begin your day by visiting Ganj Ali Khan complex and the colorful Bazaar-e Sartasari which are actually the heart and soul of the city. Then we will head for Mahan to visit Shah Ne’matollah Vali Tomb and Shazdeh Garden where is the most mesmerizing example of a Persian garden.

Day 13Head for Shiraz and Visit the Tomb of Hafiz

Head for Shiraz where is celebrated as the heartland of Persian culture for more than 2000 years. Upon arrival in Shiraz, we will visit the tomb of Hafiz who is a famous Persian poet of the medieval period. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel for overnight.

Day 14Explore the glory of old Persia

Spend the day outside of the city exploring the glory of a powerful empire of the ancient world by visiting ruins and sites of old Persia. Enjoy visiting the palace of the king of kings in Persepolis, the tombs of great ancient kings in Naqsh-e Rostam and the ancient bas-reliefs in Naqsh-e Rajab. After stopping for lunch, we will head for Pasargadae visiting the awesomely simple tomb of Cyrus the Great who founded the great empire of old Persia. Then, back to Shiraz and enjoy visiting the tomb of Sa’adi who is one of the great Persian poets of the medieval period.

Day 15Enjoy a full-day city tour in Shiraz and depart from Shiraz

We will continue our journey in Shiraz by visiting the exquisite mosque of colors, Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, Vakil Complex, Saraye Moshir, and Arg Citadel. After lunch, we will continue our city tour by visiting Narenjestan Qavam and Eram garden to enjoy wandering through two impressive Persian gardens housed opulently decorated pavilions. At the end of the trip, enjoy meeting locals at the tomb of Hafiz who is one of the Iranian famous poets. At night, transfer to the airport and depart for the home country.
